I'm looking to translate a line from a song by The Clash to use in a tattoo.
From the first line of Janie Jones.
He's in love with the Rock N Roll world.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers, Paul.

Antoin, i take it then that this sentence in Gaelic the word world would come before rock n roll.
ie. He's in love with the world of rock n roll ?? and rock n roll would have no translation ?
Cheers, Paul.

"Rock music" is translated as "rac ceol," I believe, but I'm not sure that correlates directly to "rock and roll," since it refers to the music itself, and not necessarily the lifestyle it embodies.

I wouldn't use "i ngrá le" in any context other than romantic love. If I heard it used in the sense "really enjoys", I'd regard it as Béarlachas.
Maybe: "tá a chroí i saol an Rock 'n' Roll"?

Yep, best to avoid béarlachas... Rock 'n' Roll is Rac is Roll in Irish
Another way, perhaps Tá sé i ngreim ag saol an Rac is Roll - He's obsessed by the Rock 'n' Roll world

Hi, I've had two translations to the following if someone could check this and get back to me before I tattoo and screw up.
He's in Love With The Rock N Roll World
1.
Ta' se i ngra saol an rock n roll
2.
Ta' me i mo gra leis domhain rock agus roll
As you can see not quite the same, ?
I'm also trying to follow the thread, appologies if I've broken any protocol, I've copied this over from a previous attempt.
Cheers, Paul.
