Bandia Dhuit,

Live - in what sense? "That's where they live" or "Live damnit!"?

Love - grá

Laugh - gáire

Hope that helps.

Slán,

I think it's more live as in live your life...
This "Live Love Laugh" triad is sold as a pendant in many jewellry stores and such. Someone who went to my high school had one...

 I think we'd be needing the imperative forms of all three verbs

Problem would be, the person: 2nd singular or plural (you vs. you)

I would opt for the 2nd person singular imperative
If I had a FGB I would gladly help, any takers?

:) Thank you for your input...

These would be verbs... imperative...

Question on the tags , which accents would those be...
Maybe you could give me the keyboard key so I know if it is ` or ' or even ^...

I have spelled them as such... (how close am I)

Mairigh = Live (yes live your life)
Gráigh =Love
b?ag Gáire = Laugh

Thank you again for any any and all of your input...

Do you need fadas (the long accents) for HTML or Word?

Mairigh, gráigh, bí ag gáire
Live love laugh

For HTML I'll post you the code for á é í ó ú

Code: Select all
á  é  í ó ú

For the next part, I need to know if you're in the USA and what OS you are using

Yes I would like the accents... let say in Word... So that I may write them out in English...
When it comes up with the question marks (???) I don't know if it is accent on an "e", "o", "a" etc... and which kind of accent.../??

thanks

This is from Deb, a SysAdmin from Texas:

Go to Start, then to Control Panel, then to Keyboard.

In Keyboard (depending on the version of Windows...I use XP-Pro) there is a tab that will be Languages or Input Locales. In the Locales/Languages dialog window, click on Add. From the list find Irish. Add it. Then click on it so that it is selected and look at the lower portion of the dialog window. It will give you the key sequence to switch between English (US) and English (Irish) - - typically this is going to be Left Alt + Left Shift. Also leave the check box on for enable indicator on taskbar. That way, if your key sequence does not work, you can select the keyboard type from the indicator.

Then, when you want to type a letter with a fada, you must be in the Irish Keyboard setting, and you first use the keystroke of Alt+apostrophe and then the letter that needs the fada...a,e,i,o,u and you would then get á, é, í, ó, ú....It works for Caps as well.....
