The band are actually known as AFI but it stands for A Fire Inside,

Ok , I'm living in the dark ages here...was just on the AFI page for a listen-in.
These guys are great. Hopefully the clerk at the record store knows who they are! ATM I'm playing with the idea to buy the Evanescence CD, but I'm afraid it's just her without any hard rock behind it. Is "Bring Me To Life" at all popular in the UK?

Much to my disgust they reached number 1. Which only reinforces just how disposable and crummy they are. Pathetic wailings about "pain" and all that tripe. I really dont care for them.

My boyfriend likes them...and much worse stuff like Obsidian Voice. I'm really not fond of female wailings...in my version of hell they will be playing Kate Bush 24 Hours a day.

Kate Bush is mad but Björk not? Hehe. Call it insane genius for the latter. Some Kate Bush I can take, like The Ninth Wave, but the shreiking hurts my ears on some songs...must be the poor recordings. Björk can do most anything with her voice...I think anyone could be jealous of that! Just don't shoot yourself like that other fan!
