Greetings!
Troy is the young man's first name. Here in the States we have a company that makes the gigantic 18-wheel semi trucks called "Peterbilt" - though "built" is spelled incorrectly. I thought it would be funny to parody that and call the type of auto he has created a "Troybuilt", but in Gaelic, as he is Irish. Not only does his auto look unlike any other on Earth, it would also have a unique, but very accurate, name! Thanks! Debbie "Remember the ladies..."

It's even more of a parody than you know <grin> There IS a company that makes lawn mowers, tractors, etc. in the US called TROY BILT...website address..www.TROYBUILT.com.

Oh, yeah - I forgot all about them - and we even have one of there snowblowers in our garage!
Maybe that's why I wanted "built" to be in GAelic, and I never even realized it... Debbie "Remember the ladies..."

Pron Troy-ayntah (Troy Made) would work very well It's a job that's never started that takes the longest to finish.

The Irish for the name of th city of Troy is Tráigh so you could write it as:
Tráighdhéanta  "Tá an saol mór lán den fhilíocht ag an té dar dual a thuigbheáil agus ní thráfaidh an tobar go deo na ndeor."

Ailill - How would Tráighdhéanta be pronounced? Pól - I'm not certain I'm getting the correct pronounciation of héanta from your description. I have always had a hard time trying to convert the printed pronounciation into a correct oral pronounciation. Thank you, both! Debbie "Remember the ladies..."
