Hi
Brotherhood = Bráithreacht (from an earlier post by Ailill) Brotherhood of firefighters = Bráithreacht na fear dhóiteáin I think ..... but wait for any corrections, as I'm not completely sure. It involves the genitive case in Irish grammar and I'm not very proficient! Slán Siobhán |

Yeah, they should call it the Punitive case. There should be an urú.

Sorry grasshopper, there is no easy way to Gaeilge Nirvana.
Send me a PM with your email address, I've got an excellent email written by someone else which lays out the Tuiseal Ginideach very simply and clearly. Besides that, the only other worry is Possesion: Mo, do, a (his) = seimhiú Ár, Bhúr, a (their) = urú For 'a' (her) there is no seimhiú.
