I know marry is bposfaidh (right?), but what is "wedding" and how's it pronounced?

Thanks so much.

Bandia Dhuit,

wedding (ceremony) - pósadh

Not sure on pronunciation, sorry. And wait for verification too.

pósadh

pronounced

poce-ah

(that is the 'o' sound as in most or post)

éanna

To marry = Pósaigh or Gabháil céile

but obviouslly

I marry does not equal Pósaigh mé or Gabháil céile mé

A chairde,

I would translate '(an) pósadh' as 'marriage' and 'bainis' as 'wedding'
Beatha teanga í a labhairt,
buanú teanga í a scríobh.
(neafaisiú teanga í a thatuáil?)

So here is a related question. How would you translate the phrase "Yes, I will marry you" into Irish Gaelic?

There is no Irish word for Yes or for No.

'I will marry you' is Pósfaidh mé tú

Well if it was in reply to a question posed/or implied is a certain way-

there surely is an Irish word(roundabout) for YES

'Sea-Pósfaidh me thú

The question -quite normal in the Irish idiom is

Is it a thing that you will to marry me?

answer

It is(YES)
It's a job that's never started that takes the longest to finish.
