BTW, recently I copied all of the information and exercises I wrote for the various practice threads, and added them to the wikibook. (This will help us reach as wide an audience as possible, not just learners, but also advanced folks who can check over what's there.) So if you're looking for something in one of the practice threads, you might find it more easily in the wikibook.

To make matters even more confusing, they were talking about simply leaving the copula out when phrasing a sentence as a question (with no discussion of the question form "an"). I've changed it to the following: Questions use a special form of the copula: "An." For example "An feár é Seán?": "Is Seán a man?" There are also instances in which the copula may safely be left out: "Is mise Seán" can become simply "Mise Seán." Redwolf |
