Is mise Bo (moo!) agus tá mé i mo chónaí sa deisceart na Sualainne. Tá mé cúig bliana is daichead d'aois. Tá mé dífhostaithe faoi láthair ach is dócha a beidh mé ag déanamh staidéir ar an mBéarla sa choláiste sa Fhómhar, é sin nó dearadh grafach. Is breá an lá anseo inniu. :)

deisceart = southern part
dífhostaithe = unemployed
beidh mé ag déanamh staidéir = I will be studying
dearadh grafach = graphic design
Note that I am only a learner of Irish. Wait for confirmations!

I know there are some shy beginners out there who want to participate, but can't think of anything to do. You might:

1. Introduce yourself (see the first post in this thread for help).
2. Say where you live (see the first post in this thread for help).
3. Tell us what the weather is where you are (see http://www.erinsweb.com/gaelic2.html for help).

Muddle-headed Wombat is ainm dom.
Tá mé i mo chónaí i gCondae Dhún na nGall.
Tá sé té inniu.

inniu = today

Here's something else to try: Describe a cartoon character (or anyone else we all know). You'll find useful vocabulary and sample sentences here.

Tá fear anseo.
Monty Burns is ainm do.
Tá sé sean.
Tá sé tanaí.

Maith thú, Dunlaith.

One small correction: "Is grá leis beoir". In later lessons, we'll get into the details, but basically:

Is maith le __X__ __Y__ = __X__ likes __Y__.

le + se --> leis
