Edit by Eoin: the original image isn't available anymore, so I updated the code below.

Bhí mé ag smaoineamh faoin thread Too much English. Ceapaim go bhfuil sé soléir gur mhaith leis a lán daoine a méid Gaeilge a úsáid níos mó ar an fhóram, agus chonaic muid an-iarrachtaí. Mar sin de, rinne mé an pictúir beag seo: Image. Cuirfidh mé é i mo signature. Cailaíonn sé go mbeidh mé ag iarraidh cúpla focail a scríobh i nGaeilge i ngach teachtaireacht. Tá muid in ann Ga: a chur i dtús ábhair i dteachtaireachtaí ina bhfuil cúpla focail as Gaeilge.

Tá cead ag gach uile duine an pictúir a úsaid, fiú muna bhfuil ach cúpla focail acu. Agus ní bheidh aon duine ag lorg easpa Gaeilge i do theachtaireachtaí!

Má tá ceann uait, cuir an líne seo i do signature. Is nasc go dtí an teachtaireacht seo é an pictúir.

I was thinking about the Too much English thread. I think it's obvious a lot of people would like to use their Irish a little more on the forum, and we've already seen fantastic efforts. So, I made the little button above. I'm going to put it in my signature as a way of showing that I'll be trying to include at least a couple of words of Irish in each post. It refers to the Ga: symbol we can use when starting a new thread to show that there will be Irish in it.

Anyone can use the image, regardless of ability. And no-one will be looking through your posts looking for a lack of Irish!

If you'd like to use the picture too, put the line of code in green above into your signature. The image will link to this post.

P.s. Corrections of my Irish welcomed.

Smaoineamh maith atá ann. Tá Gaeilge bhriste 'am, ach triailfidh mé.
ALWAYS get a second opinion on anything I, or anyone else, attempt to translate or transliterate.
I speak Connacht Irish, so some things I write, translate, or transliterate may be non-standard.

Labhair Gaeilge go gortaíonn sé!

An cineál "fáinne" anseo í? Is maith liom í.
