Is maith an scáthán súil charad! :-)

I'm a beginner - please feel free to correct me and please wait for more input if I suggest anything ;-)

Tá mé ag foghlaim Gaeilge - níl mórán Gaeilge agam, ach tá mé ag déanamh iarracht í a fhoghlaim :D Image

Abigail, my avatar is a picture of a package of toilet paper. I guess some Irish TP company thought they could market it under the name "Fáilte" but I don't think it really worked.
Nothing I translate in Irish is reliable, so please wait for confirmation

I know that, but I wondered if there was some strange story behind it. Just curious. :lach:
Keep in mind that while I have a good knowledge of history, and folklore, and I speak Spanish, I have very basic skills in Gaelic. And if I ever do a Spanish translation always wait for second opinions because I am still learning.

Is é mo bharúil gur chóir cosc iomlán a chur ar na teangacha impiriúlacha uile go léir ar an bhfóram seo, an Sacs-Bhéarla damanta úd go háirithe. Ba cheart nach n-úsáidfí ach an Ghaeilge agus Esperanto ar an bhfóram seo. An Ghaeilge agus Esperanto agus b'fhéidir Kiswahili. Tiel opinias mi.
Beatha teanga í a labhairt,
buanú teanga í a scríobh.
(neafaisiú teanga í a thatuáil?)

Some capital letters would help make this a tad more readable. Go raibh maith agat, a chara.

Tá súil agam go bhfuil Tadhg ag magadh 8O

Níl ann ach beagán Breatnais agam agus anois ba cheart dom Esperanto a fhoghlaim?? Ba fhearr liom ASL, ach beidh rud é deacair sin a "labhairt" anseo... :lach:

Tá Teanga Madra agam (agus beagán Teanga Cait is Teanga Capaill), ach níl teangacha daonna eile agam ach beagán an Fhraincis is beagán an Laidin.

'Sea, "Doctor Dolittle" is ainm dom! :lach:
