Ah, there you are, a Mhamó! You disappeared after we voted you Pope, and we thought perhaps the cardinals' goons had gotten you!

I don't think there's too much English because--please don't criticize me on this one--I don't really speak gaelic. I'm here to learn.
Keep in mind that while I have a good knowledge of history, and folklore, and I speak Spanish, I have very basic skills in Gaelic. And if I ever do a Spanish translation always wait for second opinions because I am still learning.

On the grounds of sounding terribly stupid. I have to agree with abigail. Isn't this a site about teaching Gaelic? It is my heritage and I would like to learn more about the language and the people. (Call it an obsession of a historian and amateur geneologis) It would make perfect sense that there would be English spoken on here as most people starting out learning a language cannot speak it fluently. Just my humble opinion :D

Wait for at least two confirmations or corrections on this/these translations. Completion of a good translation may take time. Go ra' ma'ad.

Secondarily, yes...but the primary purpose is translations. I think Pól was thinking more about the banter that goes on around here (and I notice more than a few of us are mixing in as much Irish as we can tonight...though that may also be because it's Friday!

Ceapaim go bhfuil an iomarca Béarla ann ar ár tsuíomh agus sna theachtaireachtaí OT go háirithe.

Sin fáth amháin go ndeachaigh mé go dtí an suíomh seo: http://scoilgaeilge.org/liosta
