It does mean May the road rise to meet you.
as you should know, most translations in irish to english do not make sense.
So this is the most accurate way of saying, may the road rise to meet you in the irish language,
I do know what you are saying, its just you don't want to confuse people

It does not mean "may the road rise to meet you" even if you translate it literally. Other posts on this thread explain why.
