na súile dhearga oscailt

as i fall asleep
with my red eyes wide open
spiders on my face

The busy spider
Swells with global ambitions
Weaves a wordwide web

Damhán alla beag
Le h-uaillmhian an-mhór aige
An damháin domhanda
It's a job that's never started that takes the longest to finish.

whose web is growing wider

ag siúl sa domhan
d'fhionn mé nach bhfuil ionam ann
ach fíor-amaid

travelling the world
i thought i was exotic
but i'm just a schmuck

gabhal dhá bhóthar
an cosán dearg nó saol eile
d'fhill mé abhaile

a fork in the road
not knowing which path to take
i turned and went home

amuigh is ag siúl
duilliúr ag foluain thart
lachain ar eitleog

out walking alone
with the floating leaves and grass
ducks take off and fly

Oh, God, there you are again!

Yeah, I drifted out of the S&M of haiku. It was a cleansing thing for a while. I tried to express reactions to events here as a way of relief - like taking a piss on the PM's lawn - a great deal of satisfaction in it really.

tá sí ar ais 'rís
leis an gáire deas uirthu
is le deadhéanamh

she's come back again
the girl with the wicked smile
and body to match

Esran and MQ,

I hope you don't mind. I posted this part of your poetry as haiku with minor changes to fit the pattern of haiku, inspired after MQ's comment.

geala 's séimhuaine
ag amharc ar m'anam féin
ag nochtadh mo neach

light and lovely green
your eyes pierce into my soul
exposing my being
