Which prayer is that?
More context is probably needed here, to help us give you the right pronunciation. I know cam = "bent", or cáim = "flaw" -- they're pronounced differently, though, so would need the translation to know which one you are using. Abigeál |

I've never heard of that word before, or any type of prayer associated with it. As a prefix "caim-" can mean "crooked" or "bent."
"Cáim" with a sineadh fada over the "a" means "fault" or "blemish." Where did you find this "Caim Prayer?" Can you post the words? |

I have it that "caim" is the genitive of "cam," which means a loop, twist, bend in the road, spin, swindle, or betrayal.
I'm with you, though, Oisín -- I still don't know of any prayers involving the word... Abigeál |

Cymru 11 Lloegr 9 (Wales 11 England 9) Ha Ha! My Irish is not very good, but I have kickass Welsh! I don't make mistakes in Welsh. |
