I found a Flag that had this written on it:
Riatdh Dar Dkruid O Spaird (Iadn) (Iann)?

I'm not sure about the bold part, i can't really read it. what does it mean, thanks in advance.
Any pretty Irish girls want to help me learn Gaelic? Please don't hesitate to IM me. :)

Riamh nár dhruid ó spairn lann, who never shirked the clash of swords. The last word is actually Lann, even though on the flag it looks like Iann.

The Irish Brigade fought during the American Civil War, and consisted of the 63rd, 69th, 88th New York, 28th Massachussetts, and 116th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Regiments. They fought in most, if not all of the major engagements in the Eastern Theater with the Army of the Potomac.
