yeah, i've heard about trillian, it sounds pretty cool, can anyone provide a link for it? :idea:

yay, i showed my dad the trillian site and he might let me download it, then i'll be able to chat with everyone, i'm so happy! :mrgreen: but, my friend told me that spyware gets onto your computer easily from it, is this true? :?

I don't know about "easily" but it might be possible. The most likely (or least unlikely, if you'd prefer that phrase) way that would happen is if there were to be spyware that gets installed as part of Trillian.

That's why I referred you to Gaim (which is just like Trillian only it supports more protocols, and it's open source so things get fixed more quickly, etc.) I'll admit that I'm kind of biased, having been using Gaim for several months now - but I'm pretty much positive you would never get spyware from it.
