Hey guys, i'm new here, and am looking to make myself a gaelic T-shirt. More specifically, a T-shirt that says "I want a Scottish Girlfriend" in Gaelic. Cheesy, i know, but my friend has a similar one in japanese, and i thought it was quite amusing. any help with the translation would be excellent! thanks guys!

if you want it is scottish gaelic, then you will have to wait for one of our scottish people. this post is for irish gaelic.
ALWAYS get a second opinion on anything I, or anyone else, attempt to translate or transliterate.
I speak Connacht Irish, so some things I write, translate, or transliterate may be non-standard.

-Irish can work too, then i'd prefer "I want an Irish Girlfriend"

There was just a newsflash on the TV - dejected prospective Scottish girlfriends wailing in the streets all over Scotland! Poor dabs!

Here are some options
Teastaíonn ____ uaim -- I want/I require
Ba mhaith liom ____ -- I want/would like
Tá uaim ____ -- I want
In place of the ____ you can insert these:
cailín Éireannach -- an Irish girl(friend)
cailín Albanach -- a Scottish girl(friend)
cailín Gaelach -- a Gaelic (can be either Irish or Scottish) girl(friend)
