The new licence plates don't lend themselves much to customisation http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/1513779.stm
"Dúid" Breatnach an tí. Is Breatnach deas mé.
Cymru 11 Lloegr 9 (Wales 11 England 9) Ha Ha! My Irish is not very good, but I have kickass Welsh! I don't make mistakes in Welsh. |

well us treehuggers and hicks in NC have the "Save the Smokies" plates. my question is: how can you save, or not save, a mountain range???? at least you're on the west coast and could possibly get to a civilised region of the country in a reasonable amount of time. i can't. north carolina is quite, well, uncivilised. |
|
OOOOOOOOO, i like that. |
|
Yup, I'd say that's pretty darn dull ![]() |
|
Nahh, we're a bunch of tree huggers too!! The whole point of the Salmon plates was, well, to "save the Salmon!" |

8 characters or less, eh?
BAIN AS ( Heh heh, sneak that one past the censors!) For the hardcore rebel - IRA TAL - Irish Rep. Army Tiocfaidh Ár Lá TOGEBOG - Take it easy! (Yes, fadas are missing, but you couldn't get them on an American plate anyhow.) Play on words - PUG MOAN (Póg m' thoin.) - Kiss my ass. -Maidhc. Cé ?! An mba cheart imníocht mise?

I like our choices:
http://www.dmv.ca.gov/online/elp/elp.htm Mine is the ninth one down, I think...it looks nicer in real life because you can see the pretty orange poppies. Redwolf Níl mé anseo níos mó, a chairde. Tá IGTF caillte...tachta le fógraí. Feicfidh mé sibh ar an suíomh seo
Mar a duirt Seán Michael i "The Secret of Roan Inish": "Ní mise bhur n-asal, a ainmhíthe gallda. Sacaigí suas i bhur dtóin é!" |

Yeh, yours look really nice, I wouldn't mind having one of those:
Here's what we get: http://www.odot.state.or.us/dmv/Vehicle ... mplePlates Don't be fooled though, they don't really look like that after they're on the car. The Crater Lake one ends up looking like the really, really old blue ones we used to have with the yellow letters/numbers. The Cultural one just looks like a blob of brown scunge got smeared over our generic yellow. While the Pine tree and the salmon (uhhg) are almost indescipherable from one another!! I still have the Oregon trail plate, it was the only one that came out looking halfway normal; naturally it's the only one they quit printing |
