Evening, all :D

Clannad is an excellent group, in 1993 they were together 20 years. I have an album entitled, "Banba" which has a nice combination of Irish Gaelic and English lyrics. There are also some lyrics in Mohícan and Cherokee on the song, "I Will Find You" from the movie "Last of the Mohicans".

I was going to start a new thread with the request that prompted me to find this site, but I'll just put it here. I would appreciate the translation for the song title, "Caidé Sin Do'n Té Sin". Thanks.
Bonnie

Caidé Sin Do'n Té Sin Nach mBainnean Sin Do
What it is to the person that it doesn't concern?

I think of this song as the Irish version of "Ain't Nobody's Business If I Do".

except Clannad certainly does't sing "Now if I'm in church on Sunday and cabaret on Monday..." :lach:

I.

All their lyrics sound like Cherokee to me. :)

Mind you. All "Celtic" music sounds very strange to me.

I have a couple of Clannad CDs. Their earlier ones are OK (though you can start to get a feel for that quavery, "New Agey," "let's-sing-Irish-underwater" sound even on those), but you couldn't pay me to take some of their newer stuff (it's like Enya with a couple of tenors added...gag!).
