Well, apology accepted, from me anyways, but the question you're asking is still rather charged, in it's own particular way (and it still doesn't have anything to do with Irish-Gaelic -? :? ?-). I believe people have the right to believe what they like, as a Christian I'm certainly not going to condone you "spreading" the type of stuff you're into. But it is your human right to believe as you please, as long as you're not craming your beliefs down anyone elses throats and pissing anyone off in the process, then I say whatever, dude.

P.S. will this topic be done after this, please say so!!

depends how and who you're trying to spread it too. i'm Roman-Catholic. so personally, i don't really like it at all, but i can respect that you want to spread your beliefs, as long as you do it with the knowledge that you might get people who are less accepting than i am really angry.

i'd suggest, having read the other thread, that you might want to do a bit more research into exactly what you're trying to spread, before you do.

The reaction you got was because it was off-topic this forum is for the Irish language.
As someone else said, I'm sure you would have had the same reaction if you had proposed organising a Christian prayer meeting.

Don't worry about this. Do your own thing and don't worry what anyone else thinks. And if later on you want help with translating some ritual phrases into Irish, I'm sure you'll find this group very willing to help. Recently we've helped a lot of wiccans name their knives and daggers, so there isn't an anti-pagan sentiment on this forum that I'm aware of.

Trying to "spread" any religion here is a bad thing. You can be whatever you want, but trying to convert others here, or assuming that others here share your views is dangerous ground.

As I said below "paganism" is not a religion...it is a catch-all term for all religions that are not Jewish, Christian or Muslim. Whatever your brand of paganism is, whether or not spreading it is a good thing or a bad thing from your point of view, is up to you. It's certainly not something I plan on doing! But please don't assume that, just because people here are studying Irish, they are into your religion. The fact is, the vast majority of people who speak Irish, either day to day or occasionally, are Christian, either actively or nominally. Of those who aren't, only a fragment would identify themselves as "pagan" (and we all know at least one who is Jewish!). As I said in the other post, it is no more appropriate for you to inquire here about spreading your religion than it would be for me to ask people here if they thought I should be promoting neighborhood prayer meetings.

Spreading paganism is not a bad thing. Preaching what you believe to people who want to hear it is not a bad thing. Ask Jesus. :? I'm a born again atheist, and I don't go around telling people their God is a load of B.S. It just ain't healthy. Ask Jesus.(Can anyone tell I bought 'The Passion' and watched it last night. That's another story. Sorry.) Anyway, the fact that you bring up the fact that you are a teenager, (we ALL were once, so I'm not knocking you), just sheds light to the fact I made yesterday. I've never read of a teenage druid. They learned their trade/craft/religion, throughout their lives and most were middleaged or older once they were basically accepted as druids. Maybe you should consider yourself an 'Apprentice Druid' That might be more suitable, eh?? Whatever you decide to do, always follow your heart and don't let anyone discourage you. Believe me they will. The stupidest thing I've ever heard someone say, when they were preaching to me about Christianity,(I grew up Catholic and know religion probably better than most of these nutcases who preach on streetcorners), was, 'You don't believe in God??' 'You know now you're going to go to Hell!!' I replied, 'If I don't choose to believe in your God, what makes you think Hell is going to scare me. I don't believe in that either!!' My 0.02 worth. Take it or leave it.

I'm a beginner. Wait for more input with my translations.
