Just a guess. The second bit means "have a good journey" (which may not be what you meant by "all the best"). Wait for more input. |

My eejit's guide to eejums lists "go n-éirí leat" ("go n-éirí libh" for a couple) as a good equivalent to "all the best".

I do not pretend to understand your primitive human mating rituals, but would not "Just married" -- i.e. in the state of having immediately concluded the mating ritual -- be Go díreach pósta as opposed to "Married for a little while?" Staa minti in-magi in-sin

thanks for your help! i work with lots of different nationalities and we were all signing a wedding card in our native language - major embaressment when i couldnt write that phrase as gaeilge! Merci, Aoife  |
