Do you have a "Tobacco Square" nearby? They used to carry a cube-cut burleigh flavored with Irish Whiskey that was a fave of mine (yes, I used to smoke a pipe).

Maybe you could soak some tobacco in Mead, dry it, and that might work.

I always liked the smell of pipe tobacco...there's an old fashioned tobacco store in Rhinebeck that has stuff like that (whiskey/mead flavoured)

What...you don't like whiskey-flavored tobacco or pipe-smoking women?

We have a pretty good tobaccoist in Downtown Omaha who sells pretty interesting tobaccos and cigars and shite like that..

hah!!! the closest place to get "good" tobacco would be to go snooping in Vancouver and that is 7 hours away!! My grandfather had a pipe collection (including a water pipe, but they have all disappeared). When I was younger (2 - 6) he gave me a pipe so I could mimic him. When I was in college, I smoked it!! hahaha Im afraid to try it again though, in case I start smoking cigarettes!! haha But, I could just light the pipe and smell it!!! ................. or just drink the guinness i was supposed to soak it in!! Enough so that I imagine my favourite tobacco smell!! haha

It's a different thing entirely from cigarettes (trust me...I've smoked both, and a pipe never, ever substituted for a cigarette). For one thing, you don't inhale pipe tobacco (if you did, you'd probably get high pretty quickly). For another, it takes a half hour to an hour to smoke a bowl of pipe tobacco, compared to 8-10 minutes to smoke a cigarette. Pipe smokers rarely get addicted, and tend to smoke for different reasons than do cigarette smokers. It's an aesthetic thing, more than anything.

It won't do you any good to light the pipe if you're not going to draw on it. It won't stay lit. You'd probably do just as well drinking the Guinness and lighting some incense.

haha, I know Redwolf, I smoked my pipe for about a year when I was in college, it led to cigarettes though cause the pipe was too bulky to pack around!! And; yes I occasionally inhaled it!
