fonts aren't set in colours, you can type things up and then colour them in Photoshop or another graphic program
my "metallic" effect is done be setting the foreground colour to a dark gold/ochre colour, the background to very dark brown,
then type the font, use the filter "coloured pencil" to make the scratches, which should come out looking purply (complementing colour to the gold).
Then play around with contrast and lightness until you get the sheen you'd like best, and then tint to fit
if you meant the stuff in my signature, that's hand painted and not a font
