I was wondering if anyone could translate the Claddagh "meaning" into Gaelic for me. I was hoping this was the right way to say it in english:

With these hands, I give you my heart and I crown it with love

If I have this backwards, please let me know. I have decided to do a speech on the history of the Claddagh, and I think it would be cool to open with this phrase in another language.

By "break the words down" do you mean give you a word-for-word translation? If so...

May sound kind of funny back-translated into English, but that's how Irish works.
