Hi I am a member of my university ceilidh band and we are currently designing hooded sweatshirts for each member. I am trying to come up with a motto for the band, and wondered if someone could translate the phrase 'the heart of celtic music' into irish...? Much appreciated.

I would say:

Croí an Cheoil Cheilteach

But I'm still shakey regarding the use of lenition with the article in the genitive, so wait for further input.

I think it's fine if you take out the h in Cheilteach.

I would say 'croí an cheoil ceiltigh'. is that wrong?? does the adjective not need to be genetivized as well (you can see I don't know the right terminology....)

I think you're right...that's one thing I keep forgetting to do, is inflect the adjective properly.
