Well aggy, What sense do you mean it in? Like "there's no fate (in life)?" Or maybe like meaning "Fate doesn't exist/ There's no such thing as fate"? This sounds like a contextual (is that a word?! ) meaning/need...Le meas, ~_~Mícheál ![]() Labhair í agus mairfaidh sí! Éire Abú! As always, wait for others' opinions on translations until a consensus has been reached. |

Aggy, you are going to have to be patient. This is not a simple concept, for all it can be expressed in two words in English. Irish doesn't work the same way as English, and it's going to take some work to come up with the concept you want to express in a way that will work in this language. We're volunteers, it's a weekend, and a lot of people are away. Give folks some time. It's better to reschedule the tattoo appointment than to rush a translation request and risk getting something other than what you bargained for.

Im sorry i didnt mean to offend anyone. I assume Conor is right because thats waht i have found in books. I know Chinniúint means Fate but i didnt know how No fit with it because there are so man different grammar forms of No. Once again sorry if i offended anyone, i am still a newbie lol.
thank you |

No one was offended...we just wanted to let you know that we're not ignoring you. It's just a matter of people not being around right now...Oisin's going to be off-line until tonight for certain because it's the Sabbath, and other folks may be doing whatever it is they do on a weekend. For example, if it weren't that my daughter's going off to camp tomorrow and there's a lot to get done, I'd probably be off at the Boardwalk riding the roller coaster (that's where I like to spend my weekends http://www.beachboardwalk.com/ Redwolf Níl mé anseo níos mó, a chairde.
