Hey everyone!
A few days ago i was asking for baby horse names. Well, the next day my mare foaled and we now have a beautiful fillie. All the names i recieved were great, but sorta for a colt. Does anyone have ideas for a fillie? She is white with brown spots, unfortunatly Bó didn't work. Ideas please.

how about Scaipthe which means scattered..refering to the scattered brown spots!

I like that one! ITs cool. I can't come up with names like that. Could anyone translatte Rootbeer Float into irish? That was our first name thought.

I still like "Breac," meaning "speckled"...and it's pronounced a little like "Breck," which is very much a girl's name.

Breac is a pretty common name for pets over here.......have you heard of the books See Spot Run???......well they were translated into irish and Breac was the name of the dog.......and I guess Breac wouldnt be common in the states at all but i wanted to suggest something a bit more original...but its still a great name

and we definitely dont have Rootbeer Floats..isnt that where you put ice-cream in Rootbeer??

Yeah...it would be pretty UNcommon here. That's the fun thing about it...any Irish person would recognize "breac" instantly, but an American would just think it was a pretty name, and be charmed to learn it means "spotted" or "speckled."

Yup. Ice Cream in rootbeer makes a Rootbeer float. There are also Coke floats, but rootbeer is the classic.
