Hello,
I need some help with a sentance. I'm running for Student Council vice president and I'm known for putting in a phrase or to of a forign language into all of my speeches... So I need
Thank you for your attention, and I hope to see you next year as student council president.
If I could have that translated with pronounciations, that would be a big help.
Thanks,
Zack :D

As no one has replied yet here's my attempt -
This will need to be confirmed -

Thank you for your attention, and I hope to see you next year as student council president.

Go raibh maith agaibh as bhur n-aire a thabhairt orm agus tá súil agam sibh a fheiceáil an bhliain seo chugainn agus beidh mé i m'uachtarán na comhairle dalta..

It does seem a bit long - the pronunciation should come with the final translation or ya won't know where you are..

All the best..
Sam

Go beginnings, Sam:

Go raibh maith agaibh as bhur n-aire, agus tá súil agam sibh a fheiceáil an bhliain seo chugainn agus mise i m'uachtarán ar chomhairle na ndaltaí.

BTW: what do you get if you're student council president? I could never figure out why it was such a big deal when I was in school: there didn't seem to be any salary involved, and one couldn't have one's enemies incarcerated or eliminated, no fancy uniforms. :(

To answer you question,
we basicaly just moderate the student council... which is a pain because they talk incesantly... I do wish that I could execute my enemies and rule the school as an evil dictator but unfortunataly all we get to do is so service for the school and community and "help convey the concerns of your peers to the administration and help resolve school issues..."
I don't know, I just do it cause you get all sorts of perks...
Thanks,
Zack

Perks? Ah! That's more like it! What kind of perks?

I had a very rich fantasy life as a child, and I used to daydream about being student council president. I'd have a spiffy uniform with jackboots and jodphurs, a sash, and lots of medals. I'd wear a monocle and carry a riding crop. I'd have a bunch of big, burly football players carry me through the hall in a sedan chair, while the cheerleaders fed me grapes. I'd have my own secret police force of informants to spy on everyone and collect useful blackmail information. I'd my own cadre of storm troopers to enforce my tyrannical will...

HA! I confess to being a closet crypto-fascist...

Well, I took enough education courses in college to know that socialism wouldn't work in high school. You'd need fascism to channel all those raging hormones into order and control!

I read an interesting article once about S&M in the Third Reich...
