I can't remember if he told me exactly where his father's family is from :oops:

And no he didn't grow up in the Gaeltacht, but spent a good share of years living and working there :ja:

I hope he won't be cross with me for handing this info out, but I think it's better than if some fairy tale gets knitted here 8)

Chrónaigh mé is indeed correct.


There is a fada on the 'ó'.

However there is another verb 'chrónaigh' with fada on 'ó' which means 'to darken'.


Tadgh an Mhargaidh wasn't any good at all. The 'great' was a joke.

Doing a Phd. in Irish grammar? Mar dhea!
