Okay, TOTALLY against my personality, I am opening myself up for total humilitation with what may seem to some a really ignorant question. For me, in my quest to learn more about my heritage (I am by ancestry for the last 20 trackable generations English, Scots, and Irish) I am curious to know what the little terms beneath people's names here mean. What for example is a Giostaire, Craiceáilte, Gaeilgeóir, etc. The terms are all quite beautiful in their own right, I just want to know what they, and others in the list, translate to in American English. Please be gentle.

no problem...one of our Craiceáilte members here used to always say "Doras feasa fiafraigh" (The door to knowledge is enquiry)
Craiceáilte = Crazy Laoch na nGael = Warrior of the Gael Giostaire = a chatty, childish old man Gaeilgeóir = Irish speaker Anseo = here, so "anseo again" is a mix of Irish and English "here again" Scéalaí Mór = Grand Storyteller they're all a little toungue in cheek, like we are
any others I missed? Is é Christian Stoehr mo chroí
