This is great stuff, thank you so much for all the help; now if there were to be a concensus out of the opinions expressed I would have to say ...

bráithir go brách or Bráithre go Brách

just curious on the difference between co, go, and gu?

Here is the original reference where i found the translation for till judgement:

bàirneachd
judgment (Sh.), Irish, Welsh, Breton barn, root ber in bràth, q.v.

bràth.1
judgement, gu bràth, for ever (pron. gu bràch) "till Judgment", so Irish, Old Irish bráth, judgment, Welsh brawd, Middle Breton breut,

I am so happy with all the help that has been offered and just want to clarify before I trust a translation to my body ...lol... thanks so much... and what does anyone think for a final copy?

P.s. Niall, what is the difference between the two you offered, or which one do you think more appopriate for what i'm looking for?

Someone from the www.daltai.com forum just suggested this:


In Gaeilge, I would translate "Judgement Day" as:

Lá an Bhreithiúnais


"Brothers until Judgement", I would translate as:

Deartháireacha go dtí Breithiúnas
Mar Dheartháireacha go Breithiúnas
Deartháireacha go Breithiúnas

However to me this is a more modern translation but i really shouldn't even offer an opinion here... what do you think ?

I think what it's come down to, heritage, is:

Modern Irish: Deartháireacha go dtí Breithiúnas

Old Irish: Bráithre go Brách, or if you prefer a very authentic look in a Gaelic font, Bráitre go Brác with dots over the "t" and the "c."
