Hello I am looking for a gaelic word - or phrase that means 'meeting place for friends' or 'where friends gather'

can anyone help me.

Seriously, that's the Irish for "pub"

I don't know of any one word that means "place where friends come together." I think that would be translated as áit a dtagann cairde le chéile -- lit. [i]a place where friends come together.

I think the first one is pretty dead on!!
