Would anyone translate a few short sentances for me in gaelic?
All I need is:

1."Open, door of Mists!"

2."We are going to war!"

3. "Don't worry, we are the victors."

I wish I could put longer gaelic sentances in the book but I can't understand or have a problem remembering gaelic.

I'm actually Scot/Irish. But I can't find a Scot translation forum so I switched it to Irish.

Thank you, Azlyn

Leath, a Dhorais an Ceoanna!

pron: law-hun too, dor-us on coe-nuh
Open wide, Door of Mists!

Taistilímid chuig a cogaidh!
chaws-tih-LEE-mid ar co-gie (guy)
We are traveling to war.

Níl imní oraibh, táimid an buaiteoirí!
neel im-NEE or-euhv, TAW-mid on baw-cho-REE
No worries on you, we are the victors!

euhv= oo in book + v

I am about 60% sure on all three, wait for more people to help, please.

Ná bíodh buairt ort [oraibh, if addressing more than one person], is linne an lá.

Wait for improvements!

Thanks so much! You are a big help to me. I wish I could learn gaelic but it doesn't sound anything like it's spelled! LOL again thanks.

I can translate to Scots Gaelic if u feel like! (For irish, Erigena's translations are good, Pureperson's are wrong :-? )

1. Fasgail, a dhoruis nan Ceò

2. "Tha sinn a' dol dhan chogadh"

3. Na bitheadh dragh ort, 's againn a tha 'm buaidh.

(Not sure that "na bitheadh dragh ort" is the most common sentence for "don't worry", but it's grammatically right).

I'd love it! I can have Irish and Scot in my book as well. It's not totally completed so I can change or add things! :D If you'd like to talk to me directly I wonder if I could put my email address up or would that not be wise?

I needed "Where are we going?" before we are going to war and the scots word for 'my love' "I'm a friend! I'm Irish!" "Bind us all in blood for we are all kin."

All of you who are helping are just so wonderful! I'm getting so much done. The book is called This Time a mystery/fantasy/scottish (or Irish) romance book. When it's out I'll make sure you get free copies with your names in the thank yous!
