In defence of Pwyll2, Dinneen's dictionary gives the following:
Patrick S Dinneen wrote:céadaoin, [genitive] céadaoine and céadaoineach, f[eminine], Wednesday, lit. céad-aoin, the first fast day of the week; dia céadaoin(e), Wednesday, on Wednesday; céadaoine (Don[egal])
Ó Dónaill also gives céadaoine as a variant.
