the latter is a bit wrong, it's indirective object too and eclipses

The second one seems better. You need to get the plural.
and I know this is right(and it has a d in front of the t in tugtar) ...Rosenstock le linn an turais le léamh sa leabhar, mar aon le smaointe an lae agustagairtí do litríocht agus do stair na dtíortha a dtugtar cuairt orthu. ... It's a job that's never started that takes the longest to finish.
