Hello, I'm looking for a translation of the phrase:

"To a valiant heart, nothing is impossible"

so far I've come up with

Oir na croi galach néamhni éirigh dodhéanta

which I think has the right nouns, but the grammar is crummy.

Le chroí galach, bheadh gach aon rud is féidir.
With (a) valiant heart, everything is possible.

I am about 25% sure on this translation. Wait for a more advanced member to double check it.

I agree with Adam's choice to turn this from a negative statement to a positive. As a negative, it is just too complicated, and logically the two statements are identical.

I'd phrase it as

Le croí cróga, is féidir gach uile ní

I thought that le lenites...And as for the féidir part, I didn't know if it went before or after, so now I know.

Le does not affect consonants, but prefixes "h-" to vowels.

Generally, "Is féidir" comes first, because "is" is the verb and the verb usually comes first.

Okay thanks, I better fix up my notes then, eh? And yeah, t'makes sense. I used bí instead of is in the beginning then through the is in there at the end...Oops! :-P

Thank you both. I agree with the positive grammar as well. I've got a long way to go with my translations, but it's a start.

Níl tada dodhéanta do croí crógach
There is nothing impossible for a valiant heart
