when you say "irish font" do you mean

Hi Conor,
I probably erroneously used the term "font" to refer to the character style. Perhaps I should have used the word "script" to refer to the different visual character styles. I know little about Gaelic so I'm sure that different regions of Ireland and probably different times used different character forms. I am just looking for an authentic and historically accurate visually appealing character form to use in my tattoo. Conor, is there a name for the "font/script" you have in your post? Does it matter which letters are upper or lower case, or can they all be one case? Also, my tattoo will probably run down my arm vertically, I don't know how the apostrophe will look. I am trying to find the most historically accurate Gaelic script that has the least, I don't know, Westernizing, Modernizing but is still usable for my phrase. |

Here is a great site for downloading Irish fonts/scripts.
Save them to your computer then put them in your Fonts folder in Windows - You be able to use 'Word' etc to view how they look. http://www.fainne.org/gaelchlo/ |
