hi, i just found this site :D thank you for being here.
i am doing my family tree when i can and would like to know more about my ancestors i have traced back to Martin Gannon est birth 2 nov 1831 Ireland who's parents were Stephen Gannon and Ann Wakefield. Stephen and Ann's granddaughter my 2nd great grandmother was born in canada in 1880. would anyone know where in Ireland these names may have come from? or even their meanings?
thank you so much for your time

Gannon is widespread in Ireland but more common in Mayo.

may i ask another question please?

i have been making my own stamps and i want to use the Gannon family crest. how do i find and get permission to use this crest?
it is important to me because the Gannon name is on my mothers side and she died when i was 4 years old so i was not allowed to know about or see any of her family. my mothers name was kathleen crystal offineer-straubel b. 1939 ohio-d.1934 michigan and her mother was eileen elizabeth herwick-offineer b.1919 ohio-d.2007 calf, and her mother was lillian victoria adelaide farmer-herwick b.1902 michigan- d.1969 michigan, and her mother was eliza gannon-farmer b.1880 essex, canada d.1924 ohio and her father was martin gannon born 2 nov 1831 ireland died 1908 michigan.

thank you for your time
