I'm getting a tattoo for a friend that passed, he was really into Gaelic so in honor of him I am wanting to put:

"may you enjoy your new life" in gaelic. From what I found the translation is: Go maire sibh bhur saol nua

But I'm not an expert so I just wanted to make sure this is correct and if I am using this saying in the correct context.

bhur is you plural. it should be tú in the singular

So the correct translation is: Go maire sibh tu saol nua?

Go maire tú do shaol nua. Do is the singular of bhur. The word saol has to be lenited after it. That is an h is inserted after the first consonant. It is then pronounced as haol
