I'm a writer in final revisions on a story in which my hero speaks Irish Gaelic. Unfortunately, I do not, so it's presented a bit of a problem.
A ghrá, is tusa mo ghrá
I love you, mo bhean chéile. Mo ghrá
tá bron orm (when he is desperately sorry for something he's done)
Grá mo chroí, he whispered. Gráim thú.
Is tú mo ghrá. (<--- Is this different usage from the first line, above?) Tá mo chroí istigh ionat, forever.
Last thing--I don't know if this is okay to ask here, but if so, can you give any recommendations for common Irish epithets, whether in English or Irish, that a native speaker would use either good-naturedly, sort of joking around, or when seriously angry/annoyed?
Again, thank you, one and all, for your help, it is very much appreciated!
