I'm afraid what you have is not correct....

céadlaoch mhic - son's first hero
céadghrá iníne - daughter's first love
cosantóir teaghlaigh - family protector
soláthraí teaghlaigh - family provider
????? - family promoter (not sure what you mean here)

céadghrá mhic - son's first love
céadmhúinteoir iníne - daughter's first teacher
is í Máthair croí an teaghlaigh - Mother is the heart…..
is máthair í croí an teaghlaigh - a mother is the heart...

teaghlach atá ceangailte le fuil - family that's bound by blood
teaghlach atá ceangailte le grá - …..by love

tagann cairde - friends come
imíonn cairde - friends go
teaghlach abú/teaghlach go deo - family forever

Thank you for your help on the translations. I'm making some ceramic bowls for my family, obviously one is geared towards the father, one to the mother and one to the family.

i was trying to think of some short sayings that exemplify the father and his role in the family, maybe you can think of something that would be better suited.

a father is -

(Sons first hero)
(daughters first love) <----- you've given me these translations
(family protector)
(family provider)

i was thinking a family promoter - someone that puts family first, speaks highly of his family, lifts up his family to others, one that promotes his family. so a
family ... ? - or something else that suits? the key is to keep the saying fairly short and simple as they will be written on the inside of a bowl, that will be glazed and fired in a kiln.

thank you again for helping me clean up my butchering of a beautiful language and also for helping me in this.

You need to be careful how you phrase "A father is" which would be Is é an athair...... In this case when father is involved cosantóir teaghlaigh will change to cosantóir an teaghlaigh and like wise soláthraí an teaghlaigh
