I was hoping someone may be able to translate "It was then that I carried you." for me. It is from the poem Footprints in the Sand. This verse has a lot of personal meaning to me and I would love to see it translated. Thank you for any help you may be able to give me!

I wanted to add I have seen it as "It was then that I carried you" and "It was then I carried you" Either way would be neat to see. Thanks again.

I searched past posts and saw it also written as this- Ba ansin a d'iompair mé thú. Very similiar. Is one more accurate than the other? I guess I am just asking what the difference is. Thank you! :)

The difference is that what I gave ...ar iompair...is wrong. :oops:
It should be ...a d'iompair...
I'm not sure what I was thinking about so please accept my apologies.

Ba é ansin a d'iompair mé thú

I think the pronoun é is optional but I prefer it in
