If you mean physical strength: neart uasal If you mean it more like inner strength or steadfastness: daingne uasal Please Note: I'm not a fluent speaker, so be sure to wait for comments or corrections from others.

There was no translation for "inner strength" given! There were two suggestions for "noble strength", the phrase you requested a translation for. The first one, neart uasal, is good I would say, I don't particularly like the second, it sounds more like noble stronghold to me, but it could mean what you want at a stretch. |

Well I was referring back to the first person who described "noble strength" and inner strength or steadfastness...that is closer to the meaning of "noble strength" that I am looking for.
I am assuming you do not have anything more productive to say on that front. Can anyone else verify the translation that "noble strength" in the sense of inner strength or steadfastness is or is not correct? Thanks! |

I have no idea how much Irish you have, so I was just trying to make sure you didn't think that "daingne uasal" meant "inner strength", however you don't need any help and I'm sorry for having offended you. I withdraw any comment I may have made above. Use whichever you like the best. |

I thought that by reading what was said above...it would be understood what I was asking. Sorry if I was snippy back - but I did think your comment was a little rude. Anyway you did not agree with the inner strength or steadfastness translation of "noble strength"...and now I have someone else who agrees with the other translation. I'm getting concerned that I am just going to have to skip it! But thank you for your help. |

I have asked before and do not feel completely confident yet that I have what I am looking for...
I would like the translation for "noble strength" (in regards to inner strength) What I have found is the Irish Gaelic translation for noble = Uasal and for strength = Treasa I know that you can't always take the words in isolation, put them together and have them mean what you want them to. These may not even be the correct translations. So what I am asking is if those 2 words put together mean what I want it to mean...or if it is wwaayyyy off! Thanks for your help! |
