There are at least two verbs meaning "shine" (along with some other expressions for things like sunshine): dealraigh and soilsigh. I've never seen either of them used in the imperative (command) form, but technically these do work grammatically: [Dealraigh/Soilsigh] chomh geal le réalta [If said to one person] [Dealraígí/Soilsígí] chomh geal le réalta [If said to more than one person] Shine as bright as a star It may sound more natural in Irish, however, if expressed more as "give off radiance": Déan [dealramh/soilsiú] chomh geal le réalta [If said to one person] Déanaigí [dealramh/soilsiú] chomh geal le réalta [If said to more than one person] or perhaps something more like "give off light": Déan solas chomh geal le réalta [If said to one person] Déanaigí solas chomh geal le réalta [If said to more than one person] Please Note: I'm not a fluent speaker, so be sure to wait for comments or corrections from others.
