My idea would be
Más maith is iontach. Más dona is foghlaim í. If it's good it's wonderful. If it's bad it's learning.
I've followed the structure of a traditional proverb and adapted it a bit. Foghlaim means learning but it is often used where you would use experience in the sense of something learnt in English. However if by experience you mean the actual physical or mental feeling caused by the bad thing, then we will need a different word.
