Hey guys,

my friend is leaving the country
and i want to give him a book , with an irish blessing inscribed/

Ive got the one below, which i think is great, but to make it more personal i want to add a little something special about surfing perhaps!
I was thinking maybe 'May the surf also break in your favour!'

Would anyone be able translate that for me?
any other ideas are always appreciated too!

The one you have is wrong. I don't think your friend will want to succeed in "the bother" (or "to have the bother rise with him", either.)

and maybe help me with the surf aspect?

Go n-éirí an bruth (an tonn) leat freisin.
May the surf (the wave) rise with you too.

I think wave sounds better myself.
