Hello there,

My boyfriend is from France, but has Irish ancestors and a real love for Ireland. He is currently learning Irish, or trying to!
He is looking to get a tattoo in Irish, a translation of the following lyric:

"die alone, together"

I've given it a shot, but would feel far more comfortable getting a translation from someone who may be a tad better than I at translating correctly :)

All help appreciated!

Ci

Comhairle bheag duit, a thaisce:

1 - Never get involved with Frenchies.
2 - Especially not those of Irish ancestry.

Die alone, together

"Faigh bás i d'aonair, la chéile"

That is as addressed to one person.
Warning: Reasonable command of Irish - but I still make basic errors.

If I were to say this I would say
's gairid an saol, 's buan an bás
without the "é"s.
but I have a feeling that that might be sloppy Irish... ;D

I'd like to have a tattoo as well but i was thinking of my name written in chinesse bold letters. Translating a lyric is fun too but i can't think of a lyric to tattoo it on me
