Hi
I was looking to say "you don't have to go" in Irish but can't figure out what tense to use, can someone help me please. I have a verb book but only getting more confused. Thanks in advance.

"I have to go (leave)" can be said a number of ways:
Tá orm imeacht = have to
Ní foláir dom imeacht = must
Caithfidh mé imeacht

Ní gcaithfidh tú imeacht/ Ní bheith ort imeacht would be "You don't have to go".
I wouldn't use Ní foláir for the negative in this case...

These are incorrect.

I wouldn't use Ní foláir for the negative in this case...

Obviously. Because that also would be incorrect.

agus an míniú cén fáth? Bainim úsáid as "caithfidh mé imeacht" go minic agus is minic a deirtear liom "ahh ní chaithfidh...
Bhéinn buíoch as an sáreolas atá agat le míniú a thabhairt...

Hi thanks for the translations,
Myself and a friend are trying to speak Irish to each other as much as possible and during a conversation I was trying to say that she didn't have to go to the shop for me anymore, so I don't think they are correct for what I was trying to say, sorry my fault I should have been more specific.
Doing my best to learn so any more help with this would be great thanks.

Sa chás sin:
Ní chaithfidh tú dul chuig na siopaí dom(sa) a thuilleadh

Ní chaithfidh tú dul ag siopadóireacht dom(sa) a thuilleadh, grma

Séimhiú ar an túslitir "ch.." agus is ainm briathartha í an bheith.

Ní gá duit imeacht.

Sin é. That's it.
Warning: Reasonable command of Irish - but I still make basic errors.
