Hi all!
So my husband left for a year to fight... And it was hard. He was gone over a year, and every day, we would sign our emails or letters "m'anam cara". I know that's not correct, more like a butchered American attempt at a lover/spouse version of Soul Mate (or soul friend), but it helped get us through so long apart, so far apart, feeling like we were actually separated by nothing. Our souls were never apart. Not really.
Now, he's home. I have never considered a tattoo, but I am now. He wants to honor my loyalty by getting a tattoo that says that, and I am deeply touched, so I would like to get one too, that says "My soul mate forever" and I have decided that it could read:
cara m'anama go deo
But I can't ask my Irish Daddy as he took off many years ago to go back. Am I close? Spelled correctly? I don't have anyone I trust to ask... I'm afraid my cousins will lie to me so that I butcher the spellings for our tattoos because they can be evil. No, they are evil lol
Can anyone help me and my soldier?
