The proper usage of "riamh" and "choíche." I was my understanding that "riamh" was ever/never in a past sense, and that "choíche" would be used in a future sense. But I may have misunderstood.

Driftwood, riamh can refer to the past or the future; choíche usually only to the future or imaginary conditions.

Both would work here, but Gumbi's is certainly not wrong - It's "pretty food" too.

Pretty food for pretty people.

Ah! Thank you for the clarification! This goes into my notes. I would never dream of saying that Gumbi was wrong! I pay particular attention to Gumbi's translations, because he has Munster. I certainly wasn't criticizing, only trying to understand why one and not the other. Go raibh maith agaibh, a Ghumbi agus a Bhreandáin!
